Used in borders, rock gardens, as edging material, and as a groundcover. It is an evergreen perennial with a mat-forming habit from 9-12 inches tall, spreading to 18 inches. The dark green leaves are linear to 11/2 inches long.
Transplanting: Transplant when there are at least two sets of true leaves
Spacing: Space seedlings 6-9 inches apart in full sun to light shade in a light, well-drained soil
Soil: Very tolerant of low fertility soils
Temperature: Very tolerant of high humidity
Additional Care: Shear off the fading flowers to induce a repeat flower display. To maintain the foliage quality, cut the entire plant back after flowering, at least once every two years. An important provision is that plants have good drainage; water them only when they are dry.
